Plunderman strikes again, this time with a set of Moog-flavored grooves with a worldly perspective.

“Revenge Of Plunderman” completes the trilogy which started with “Adventures Of Plunderman” and continued with “Return of Plunderman.”

Plunderman continues his quest for the perfectly eccentric loop with some ancient Moog melodies ripped from vinyl. Being somewhat twisted, he has transformed these vinyl loops into world-beat songs. “Revenge Of Plunderman” feels both retro and futuristic, hearkening to antique sounds and looking forward to an era of global unity.

Produced in 2011 by Thomas Park.

About this album:

“Between Worlds” was inspired by moments of detachment from everyday life, when the mind wanders and you co-exist in the physical and the imaginary. You can walk home or have a conversation but also feel slightly removed from the experience.

Created over a number of months late at night the album blends haunted guitar, warped keyboards and quirky samples to form what is possibly the strongest Planivaar album yet.

Artist Bio:

Planivaar began in 2005 as the musical explorations of visual artist Mark Lippett. He has so far had releases on Earth Monkey Productions, Split Femur Recordings, Make Mine Music and Lost Property Productions.

Mark creates his work in isolation making music that is simultaneously dark, unsettling, nostalgic and quirky.

“mayfairgrin has existed in various forms for the past 10 years. a mainstay to the underground, the project has released numerous albums. many of which are freely available on-line through popular netlabels. the project is primarily andrew latham; whom writes, records, programs, executes, and performs most of what’s heard on each of mayfairgrin’s compositions. the music is expansive and melancholy — teetering somewhere between the depressed and the sanguine.”

About: [mikra] from Belarus recently performed live in Prague, dedicating his performance to the victims of a terrorist subway bombing in the city of Minsk on April 11, 2011. The performance was part of the “Gothic Park” festival, and took place at the Club “BIOS” on April 23.

“It pains me to write these lines, and to realize that such things occur to our people in this country. For many years under a dictatorship, we were already prepared for anything, but not to explosions which take the lives of peaceful, innocent citizens.
All have been used to the scant salaries and the high cost of housing and goods, all have been used to living in fear, used to thoughts of hopelessness under the incumbent powers, used to lawlessness and police brutality…
…and then an explosion in the underground [subway] …in rush hour. And it is clear (even to our friends in neighboring countries) whose hand is behind this business. But this changes nothing, practically, and that is terrible. Despite all this, we can’t make anything of it. But our patient and intimidated people need to trust only in changes which should occur.” — Pavel Rassolko ([mikra])

About:
“Deltatones was created in November of 2009 as an experimental project using an online program called Audiotool (formerly at hobnox.com, it is now at its home website audiotool.com).

Inspired by the deltawave, Deltatones was created to project a feeling of deep cerebral thought processing using the tone as a carrier into the uncharted regions of our innermost minds. As space and time progressed, Deltatones slowly began to emerge as a dark ambient gangster from the transdimensional outliers of the subconscious rift. Conceived from limited resources, Deltatones possessed a nature of evocative, lucidic soundscapes that mimics the farther reaches of the human psyche. Operated by a computer alone, Deltatones was created with minimal production, consisting of live recordings from Audiotool, homebrewed field recordings, and selected samples.

The philosophy of Deltatones was to create obscure and lush soundscapes with as few mediums as possible in addition to refined mastering to give it both an original and organic feel. With hundreds of live recordings, a new groove was cut into the genre of ambient soundscapes. Deltatones will never be a completed project and will infinitesimally be a work in progress. ”

Ash shA debuts on Webbed Hand with a short soundtrack to a film “Russian Orange Train,” in which sophisticated synth arpeggiations, melodies and steady rhythms convey the momentum of a story.

“This is a project from wild Russia. Ash shA – it’s a sound of city and what’s going on around this city. With couple of violence and romance.
Album “Russian Orange Train” – is the third release of this project, which incorporates the aesthetics of minimal electro, electro noir and combine it all with a dark ambient. It turned out fairly original sound, not similar to anything prior. It is likely that it is and should sounds like Movie music.”

Recorded in 2011

“The album is an intricate powerhouse of vision, both musical and psychological. Some would describe it as a process to a natural dance provoking high, Some just sit and listen.
Its a progressive blend of melodic composition, unbelievable sound design, and an IDM style rhythm that cannot be described in any real detail, other than to say, it’s designed to take you places.
It’s an epic experience, with a sense of purpose in each deliberate movement.”

A first for WHR, [mikra]‘s Attalla2 is a continuous 2-hour multigenre mix, using a vintage Soviet analog synth among other things.

As explained by the artist:
“Now it is a little about itself and about the given two-hour material. Was born and live in the city of Minsk which is capital of last dictatorial state of Europe (at present) @ Belarus. To me 34 years. It is dissolved. There is a daughter who is called by Nastya, and its voice is on ATTALLA2. There is a girlfriend with whom I want to connect all remained life. Her name is Nadya – and is present its image on a cover to music. ATTALLA2 – very personal intimate (for me) work. In it I tell about myself, by means of the primitive computer and analog old Soviet synthesizers. I haven’t dared to divide all sounding into separate parts as it is often accepted because then integrity of my history and the concept put in music would be broken. I can only advise – to perceive the given work as film viewing … a film about me, my life and my love.. Thanks for attention)))” — Pavel [mikra]

Recorded by Pavel Rassolko [mikra]
in Belarus, 2011
