Eccentrum

Deep organic drones and mysteriously dark sounds resonate through the inner spaces of this album by Eccentrum.

About: “As for myself, I am not a “professional musician”. I enjoy working with computers on many different levels – making music is one of them. My overall concept is to create specific “sound environments” for the listener. Most of my works begin with an image – I picture in my mind a setting – such as a tunnel, an empty field or a mountain range. I then picture what could be happening in a given place and try to recreate the mood, the “atmosphere” of a given scenario. I don’t strive for realism – I prefer a suggestive set of sounds shaping the listener’s perception so that their minds can fill in the details, possibly creating an image different to what I saw. Most of the creative process is experimental and exploratory. I work with a collection of samples I compiled and plan on adding to, and I also use a Kaossilator (haven’t used one for this album though). When selecting a sample, I try to imagine how it could be fitted into the overall “picture” and then add filters and tweak them until I think it is ready to be used or abandon it when I can’t get it to sound the way I want it to.” — Eccentrum
